AMERICA - REPUBLICANS - GUNS - DEATH

Before he left JEB! A Republican Presidential candidate, sent a tweet of the picture below with a caption that read, "AMERICA"

Jeb!'s message did resonate in ways that I'm sure he didn't intend but could have predicted. Guns and America go hand in hand and Republicans are at the forefront of fueling the the fire without regard of the consequences.

For every terrible incident like the most recent Kalamazoo shooting that make national headlines, dozens of other horrific tragedies fly under the radar. In Chesapeake, Virginia late last month, a man killed five members of his familybefore turning the gun on himself. In Texas earlier this month, a teenagershot and killed his mother and two neighbors before turning the gun on himself. A week before that, three people were killed and five more injured at a shooting at a house party in Glendale Arizona.

Since the Mass Shooting Tracker came into existence in 2013, there have been 1,077 mass shootings in the United States. The tracker's website also counts the days since the last mass shooting incident in the U.S. As of this morning, that number stands at zero.a shotgun.

After one massacre, a visibly shaken President Barack Obama told the nation, "There is a gun for roughly every man, woman and child in America. So how can you, with a straight face, make the argument that more guns will make us safer?"

As the nation mourns the victims of another mass shooting, the raw numbers of gun violence paint a chilling picture of America's intimate relationship with firearms.
