In celebrating this great land of the "free" of ours why is it that we can't just go 1 day with selling or buying something?
Another cup?
Another T-shirt?
Another run around Boston?
Putting an ad for a Veterans Day sale on a flag on a tombstone sounds rather shortsighted (if not just plain disrespectful) to me.
How about just "honoring" the dead and putting aside all the sales for 1 day? OMG! WTF!
I know GWB thought it was a good idea to "go out and shop" after 9/11 but I don't think Buba thought that one thru when the guys behind him handed him the flash card. Maybe a great day for Wall Street, but not the families of those buried under the Twin Towers which ironically symbolized the great American trademark. Profits before............................................even our Vets.
