David Horowitz to Newsmax TV: Flynn Case a 'Failed Coup D'etat' | Newsmax.com
The case against Michael Flynn was a "failed coup d'etat" of President Donald Trump, noted conservative author David Horowitz told Newsmax TV on Friday.
In an interview on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Horowitz decried the prosecution of the former general — and noted the Department of Justice’s announcement it was dropping the criminal case against Flynn showed the underpinnings of it have now collapsed.
"That's a failed coup d'etat," Horowitz said.
Horowitz is a New York Times bestselling author and his latest book, "Blitz: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win" is to be released in June.
"He was incoming national security adviser to the president," Horowitz explained. "He had a phone call with the Russian ambassador. Nobody knows what's in the phone call — they suppress that.
"But there were 38 or 39 members of the old Obama and White House administration that wanted to unmask him, then leaked the fact that he was being spied on [to] The Washington Post," he said.
