A clip of CNN’s Don Lemon and two guests is going viral after they spent just over a minute mocking supporters of President Trump as uneducated and illiterate.
Lemon’s guests were New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and GOP strategist Rick Wilson. Lemon had them on to discuss Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s recent feud with NPR when he told NPR’s Mary Kelly to locate Ukraine on an unlabeled map.
That is when Rick Wilson began mocking Trump supporters, claiming they are the ones who couldn’t point out Ukraine on a map. Lemon was laughing throughout the whole exchange.
According to the Washington Examiner, “The clip went viral on Monday night after former CNN digital producer Steve Krakauer tweeted it, writing, “The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents. If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened.”
