A CONSTITUTIONAL LIBERTARIAN RESPONDS

AND I REPLY
Johann Wagener 10-04-13

you know I honestly believe we can have a rational conversation if you wish..see the truth is only subjective when its swayed purposefully in order to taint perception.
truth is I would vote a democrat or republican or for mickey mouse if he were the best candidate and probably should have last election.
this government is militarizing our police..why ?
this president has been funding al queda for two years and muslim brotherhood as well last time I checked they were supposed to be the ones who flew those planes into the world trade center..we had that whole war on terror thingy remember ? yet we give them aid and comfort ?
we are being spied on by the nsa and to be honest because of my big mouth Im sure Im on some list somewhere…lol that’s to funny…but true..
I am a true constitutional libertarian father of 3 sons who I raised alone but since have met the best woman on this planet oldest is 25 youngest is 15 and am now raising a grandson,,really Im to old for this shit..lol…
I positively LOVE history read anything I can find.
I am a Christian but disagree with most forms of religion since the whole reading thing gets in the way.because once you have knowledge your are culpable to decisions you make and the path you follow..but that’s for another time…
47 years old live in Pennsylvania.
so if you would like to talk and hash out real solutions,,im game,,,because honestly things aren’t supposed to be worked out in Washington first than filtered to the peons. but discussed by the people who tell and I mean TELL them what to do….which so many in this nation have forgotten…we the people not them, the politico elite make this a country worth saving
Thanks

My response;

You sound a lot like I did when I was in my 30's. The world looked much different to me then because my priorities were much different than they are now. At 72, with 6 kids to brag about the oldest, 53 and the youngest 17 (I'm definitely pro-life) I look at the world as I would like it to be for those I brought into this world and their offspring, not so much what's in it for me. I'd like to leave knowing they have it better (not worse) than I did.

Unfortunately, it looks just the opposite to me; much like the old Roman Empire and how that "republic" crumbled under it's own corrupted system, not because of any outside force. In my time there was a guy named IKE (a republican and warrior) who warned us of things to come if we didn't change our ways, and, guess what his warnings were pretty accurate.

In 2000 I moved to Costa Rica to raise my daughter on my own. Why? Well, first off, they had no army so resources went to "social" services like universal healthcare, school for everyone, housing to live in not flip to turn a buck on. I came back when my daughter hit her pre teens because she was "bored" with having nothing to do in this laid back country where living on less than $240 a month was not bad for most of the population. Bus ride were a nickle. When you went for gas a swarm of attendants would give your car a complete once over. There was no such thing a "self serve" because it was more important that everyone had a job rather than how much could be ripped off the bottom line.

We like to brag about healthcare and jobs in this country but when push comes to shove we do a lousy job at providing either. Rather than reinvesting profits back into what made them they a scrapped of by a few slick types who would rather blow it on baubles for themselves or tuck it away in some far off place.

Some companies in this country would rather fire their people than provide them and their families with healthcare while others are actually saving money by outsourcing their healthcare and sending their employees on all expenses paid medical vacations which at the end of the day cost about half that what they would need to pay using the system here.

That's not the America I want to leave behind for my kids and their kids. If we can agree on that, then I say change is indeed possible.

Happy 100th Birthday Income Taxes! Or How the Rich Have Gamed the System to Pay a Smaller Share

WHO'S TAXES ARE YOU PAYING?
Johann Wagener 10-04-13

Happy 100th Birthday Income Taxes! Or How the Rich Have Gamed the System to Pay a Smaller Share

The reality is that, overall, the US has one of the lowest tax burdens in the industrial world. If someone’s tax burden is too great to bear, that probably means that someone else isn’t paying a fair share of the cost of maintaining the public services that a modern nation-state requires.

For example, one can certainly say that state and local taxes are too high for poorer residents of Washington State. According to a recent study, those in the bottom 20 percent of the economic pile fork over almost 17 percent of their incomes to Olympia, while the middle 20 percent pay about 10 percent and those at the top – the wealthiest one percent of Washington households – pay less than three percent.

Contrast that with highly profitable corporations that pay nothing at all — their taxes surely can’t be considered “too high.” (Moyers & Company highlighted some of the worst offenders back in May.)

So the real game, if you can play it, is shifting the tax burden onto someone else.

BOEHNER SAYS ‘This isn’t some damn game’

SO STOP PLAYING IT!
Johann Wagener 10-04-13

He started eating his words no sooner than they came out of his mouth by going on to say that he was going to play until he (and those cooks he's pandering to) had their way.  No matter that they are asking the rest of us to break the law because they don't approve of it.

It's becoming obvious that between the booze and overexposure to ultraviolet rays his brain is beginning to deteriorate.

Boehner still seeking health-care negotiations: ‘This isn’t some damn game’

House Republicans on Friday continued to demand changes to President Obama’s signature health-care law as a condition for funding government operations, with an Oct. 17 debt-ceiling deadline looming and no end to the federal government shutdown in sight.

A TEA PARTIER RESPONDS

TO MY BOEHNER POST
Johann Wagener 10-03-13

wow what a bunch of crap.. We normal people in America who love this country see it this way
Communist Marxist takeover with a Saul Alinsky twist.
This country was not founded on collectivism or Islam and the policies of this administration should make any person with common sense loose sleep.
Let’s address Boehner first we in the tea party think hes a sellout drunk and anything but conservative. And we want him gone as well as senators Lindsay Graham,,,John McCain,,
The world has Never suffered as much as under people who follow left ideologies. In America look at Detroit or Chicago. or in any city run under democrats.
Now lets look at history…communism in Russia killed 60 million in china 90 million in poland and the Czech republics another 10 million…
And than there’s Hitler whom this President most resembles in policy..see good ole Adolph was only known as right wing because he was a fascist socialist which is right of communism for sure, but still very left wing…so yes Hitler was a progressive liberal. so after the weenie roast at parliament…all the guns had to go..national healthcare was installed and all sorts of fun laws that made it legal to put people in ovens and such.
But why would people need guns to defend themselves ?
And now onto the Koch brothers because its not like Bama doesn’t have evil George soros.. G.e or wall street funding..big Pharma..and my fav monsanto ?.
Everything this administration does is against the moral fabric of our society,,we are divided by their rhetoric rich against poor. white against black,,straight against homosexual..christian against secular.
is this helpful to anyone…no…
To top it off we now have the American Pravda known as msnbc,,cnn,,abc,,cbs,, bet you luv em all bucky..
I personally just want to be left alone,,I don’t want to protest or write in response to a half informed idiot but here I am..
i don’t want the epa to tell me I cant have a wood stove..or some twit to say I cant own a weapon.
and before you bring up mass shootings ALL democrats everyone of them. which is funny so maybe you should show your voting records to own a weapon. and deny all dems since their clearly unstable..
maybe you should read a whole book non fiction and stop smoking crack..you silly commie…oh and i will post this on bin as a response to your column

To which I replied;
WOW! For someone that wants to be left alone you sure do a great job comin out guns a blazin!
You also seem to know a little history though slightly slanted to make your world seem real.

If this is representing what you refer to as "normal people who love America" this country is in much worse shape than I thought.

BOEHNER AND HIS MERRY BAND OF IDIOTS

IDEOCRACY
Johann Wagener 10-03-13

It's hard to imagine that and old drunk suffering from late stage alcoholism (which explains the year-round tan) and a handful of mentally challenged, gun loving racists would be able to accomplish what terrorists were unable to do on 9/11; bring down the American Government!

They behave as if they were living in the 1700's when slavery and totting single-shot muskets were protected by the Constitution as understood in those times. They yell and holler that they are doing what "the American people" want while all along marching to orders from people like the Koch Brothers who are nothing more than a bunch of power hungry, money worshiping self-centered goons that could care less about the American People

Congressional Radical Right-Wingers Relive Confederacy Fantasies

The most apt historical precedent for today's marauder Republicans is the old Confederacy, where the provocateurs are not merely intent on stopping federal governance, but withdrawing from it or sabotaging it if they can't get their way. Today's Tea Party darlings like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and the House right-wingers driving the federal shutdown are cut from the same disunionist cloth as the old Southerners who fomented secession and the Civil War.

They have branded Obamacare as their Tariff of Abominations, which were export taxes imposed by Northern industrial states the South railed against before the Civil War. Fox News is the disunionists’ Charleston Mercury, egging on the rebels, and seeking to convey legitimacy to their crusade to save government not by fixing things, but by blowing it up piece-by-piece.

The Tea Party caucus has forty members, all of them Republican – the one Democrat with a Tea Party endorsement, Rep. Walt Minnick (ID-1), declined to join. The following is a profile of Tea Party caucus members.

CAUTION! DANGER AHEAD!

THE SNAKE SWALLOWING IT'S TAIL
Johann Wagener 10-02-13

In this country we use a "consumer confidence scale" to measure the health of our nation.  After 9/11 GWB made a speech telling the American people to "go out and shop" as an expression of defiance against terrorism.

Today, a small group of "obedient" politicians sincerely believe that providing health care to all Americans is going to destroy the country while at the same time shutting down the government and destroying the country in the process.

Obedience to Corporate-State Authority Makes Consumer Society Increasingly Dangerous

Overconsumption is a function of obedience built on the false premise that eternally acquiring more goods will make you, your family and your society happier. These goods are produced in a way that - we now know - is likely to lead to global environmental catastrophe. While many authorities acknowledge climate realities, they also claim that the extraction of fossil fuels continues to be necessary for powering a high-tech, industrial economy.

THE COCK(s) BROTHERS STRIKE AGAIN!

NO HEALTHCARE FOR YOU!
Johann Wagener 10-01-13

If these guys can't make a buck from it, their against it. Even when it comes down to basic human needs like food and healthcare.

The Deeply Disturbing Ways the Kochs Are Trying to Convince Us We Don't Want Better Healthcare

The Kochs’ sabotage is shrewder than defunding Obamacare, because it goes to the whole basis for the Affordable Care Act’s plan to cover the uninsured: the creation of a risk pool that includes the young and healthy as well as the not young and not immortal. If young people aren’t insured, the system will fail; the individual mandate is the compact that connects us across generations and conditions to protect the sick, the poor and the unemployed. Kill the enrollment of the young in Obamacare, and you kill the program.
