Killing someone with a gun is not up close and personal like choking or stabbing them to death. It's much more surreal and morel like one of those computer games that you can find thousands (if not millions) of teens (and maybe their parents) mindlessly playing (some 24/7) . There are some people out there (like the Colorado shooter) who will take it to the next step and make it real. Then there's the NRA and the gun and ammo manufacturers who make tons of money hawking their wares to all the gun "enthusiasts" who bring out the 2nd Amendment to rationalize buying AK47's as a God given right of some sort. On a side note, I don't think God would co-sign on this crazy idea. Maybe our right to arm ourselves against not sure exactly what should be reconsidered. Maybe buying assault weapons (with the emphasis on "assault") and 6,000 rounds of ammo at a time to protect ourselves should raise the question? Are we nuts?
