SEND THE NFL THE BILL

Why should tax payers (some who don't even watch football) pay the NFL's operating expenses? Where are all those "fiscal conservatives" who moan and groan about taxation? Probably in front of a TV watching the game.

TEA-BAGGER GONE CRAZY

There should be a way to screen individuals prior to their running for public office to ensure that unstable individuals don't end up in positions of power and endanger both the country and it's citizens.

Loony toon Congressman Tim Huelskamp appeared with Rachel Maddow after the SOTU speech to address a series of sick disgusting tweets he posted in the House chamber as the President spoke.

There's no other way to say it: Obama Derangement Syndrome. For some people seeing a black man address the nation on national tee vee causes them to lose their shit.

TEA-BAGGER GONE WILD

Should people that want to be elected to public office be administered a psych eval as part of the vetting process?

Placing unstable people in positions of power is dangerous.

“I’ll break you in half. Like a boy,” the former Marine and FBI agent told the NY1 cable TV reporter Michael Scotto.

MILLIONAIRES AND BILLIONAIRES ON WELFARE

Both here and in England tax payers foot the bill for individuals (the Royal Family) and organizations (the NFL) that by no stretch of the imagination deserve or qualify to be subsidized by tax payers.

The Royals need to stop spending so much money, English officials warn, as Queen Elizabeth’s savings plunge from $58 million to $1.6 million. Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are falling apart, with ancient boilers costing $1.2 million each year.

Calling the NFL the “most profitable sports league in the world” -- and pointing to top officers who are paid tens of millions of dollars a year -- the petition says the NFL “should not be able to hide under a nonprofit status in order to avoid paying federal taxes.”

Politicians rant about spending too much on programs like unemployment or food stamps while at the same time turn a blind eye towards these mega-rip-offs.

DIAGNOSIS; EWD

The following is a classic example of someones suffering from what I've coined "excessive wealth disorder."

Progressive Kristallnacht Coming?

A wealthy American venture capitalist has come under fire for comparing criticism of the "successful one percent" to the plight of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Thomas Perkins, a founder of leading venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, who reportedly has a net worth of $8 billion, penned a letter to the Wall Street Journal that was published Friday.

"Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its 'one percent,' namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the 'rich,'" Perkins wrote.

San Francisco, like other American cities, is embroiled in a battle over cost of living. Tech companies are being blamed for driving up rent, and shuttle buses and ferries that bring workers to the Google offices have become symbols of the city's new class warfare.

In his letter to the editor, Perkins took shots at those who are vilifying the rich. "From the Occupy movement to the demonization of the rich embedded in virtually every word of our local newspaper, the San Francisco Chronicle, I perceive a rising tide of hatred of the successful one percent," he wrote.

He went on to describe the "outraged public reaction" to rising real estate prices and to the Google buses, and also mentioned "libelous and cruel attacks" in the San Francisco Chronicle against author Danielle Steel – Perkins' ex-wife.

He concludes his letter: "This is a very dangerous drift in our American thinking. Kristallnacht was unthinkable in 1930; is its descendent 'progressive' radicalism unthinkable now?"

Does this person look like he's being persecuted?

IF THE SHOE FITS; EWPD

The author of the following article may be on to something.

Rather than demonizing the super rich who hoard wealth to a fault and damage both the planet and it's inhabitants in the process it might be better to offer them help in treating what I'd call "extreme wealth psychotic disorder." EWPD for short.

The criteria has already been established so it's only a matter of applying it to wealth and the symptoms these individuals present with.

The following article get's the ball rolling;

Narcissism. Narcissists are a**holes who think the world revolves around them They are similar to psychopaths but they have some, though not much empathy.
Hotchkiss identified what she called the seven deadly sins of narcissism: [7]
Shamelessness : Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.
Magical thinking : Narcissists see themselves as perfect, using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to dump shame onto others.
Arrogance : A narcissist who is feeling deflated may reinflate by diminishing, debasing, or degrading somebody else.
Envy : A narcissist may secure a sense of superiority in the face of another person's ability by using contempt to minimize the other person.
Entitlement : Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves special. Failure to comply is considered an attack on their superiority, and the perpetrator is considered an "awkward" or "difficult" person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage .
Exploitation : Can take many forms but always involves the exploitation of others without regard for their feelings or interests. Often the other is in a subservient position where resistance would be difficult or even impossible. Sometimes the subservience is not so much real as assumed.
Bad boundaries : Narcissists do not recognize that they have boundaries and that others are separate and are not extensions of themselves. Others either exist to meet their needs or may as well not exist at all. Those who provide narcissistic supply to the narcissist are treated as if they are part of the narcissist and are expected to live up to those expectations. In the mind of a narcissist there is no boundary between self and other.

U.S. NEGLECTS IT"S CHILDREN....

It's not surprising that the U.S. is way behind the rest of the developed world in the way we treat our children. Just like most other social priorities; the environment, financial security, and health care the U.S. places more emphasis on wealth, power, entertainment, sports, war, and individual success no matter the cost.

This is one of many alarming revelations about the course this country is on. Our children are our future and rather than cherish them we neglect them. We fail to provide the basic necessities such as food, education, and healthcare; while wasting billions on senseless wars, pandering the rich, and subsidizing those who don't need or deserve it.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Eighty percent of Americans in 2012 said most children in their country have the opportunity to learn and grow every day, while 66% said they are treated with dignity and respect. Although these figures might seem high, they are actually on the low end among 29 advanced economies where UNICEF studies children's well-being.

The United States' relatively poor performance on these two measures reaffirms its similarly poor performance in a recent UNICEF study of children's well-being. The UNICEF study considered five dimensions of well-being -- material, health and safety, education, behaviors and risks, and housing and environment -- with the U.S. ranking 26th in overall child well-being among these same 29 wealthy nations.
