Posters of Streep with a red and white “She knew” banner — reminiscent of the style made famous by artist Barbara Kruger — over her eyes went up around Los Angeles on Tuesday near the SAG-AFTRA building, Hollywood and Highland complex and in Pasadena near Streep’s home.
Whoever is responsible for the signage remains unknown.

In 1997, Mr. Weinstein reached a previously undisclosed settlement with Rose McGowan, then a 23-year-old-actress, after an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival. Rather than lecturing other people about their failures Rose might want to be asking herself how many women she could have saved from the same fate had she spoken up at the time rather than take the check.
