Bush/Cheney Water-boarding is not torture; CIA hacking Congress is not unconstitutional
WASHINGTON - A top senator Tuesday leveled explosive allegations that the CIA spied on her committee's investigation of alleged CIA torture under President George W. Bush.
Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) charged that the CIA searched a "walled-off" computer the agency provided to her staff at a secure, remote site to examine documents, and also quietly withdrew relevant files it had provided the committee.
"I have grave concerns that the CIA's search may well have violated the separation of powers principle embodied in the United States Constitution," Feinstein said during lengthy remarks on the Senate floor, revealing that CIA Director John Brennan reported the search to her earlier this year
